Episode 104

Featuring Piers from The Fleas

Well it’s episode 104. Bit delayed on this one so apologies to all involved.

It was our great pleasure to talk to Piers from The Fleas. And what nice bloke. Great to talk someone who is genuinely passionate about their music and genuinely nice as well. Which can’t always be said for everyone in the music industry…

Anyway, this is what they have to say about themselves on their myspace.

A flea in your ear. A love song. A happy coincidence. A regret. A gorgeous harmony… A glorious melody. A night out… An evening in. A big fat steming riff. A heart… A soul… A brain. An argument… A kiss-and-make-up A flatmate’s really very annoying girlfriend. A subtle twist. A fuzz-box… and an Argentinian drummer. It’s itchy year. Check us out live and be forever bitten…

Superoscope

Superoscope

And then it was time for the excellent Superscope. SUPEROSCOPE is a new and exciting production duo hailing from NYC. After meeting by chance in the summer of 2004 in Central Park, their acquaintance quickly blossomed resulting ultimately in the creation of a concept called SUPEROSCOPE, which, in turn, later lead to the founding of a 2-man band under the same name.

Another track from the marvellous Cutaways. Check out episode 103 to find out more about them

We played Drew Black. Because he’s great and because we can. So there. Have a look at episode 103 for him as well.

Monumental Sonic Architecture were next up. We like them a lot. They make good noises. And that’s good.

And all too soon it was time to say goodbye. But wait, what’s this? We just had time to play out with The Lost Sea. A rather smashing band from the US.  What a great way to end. That was 104.
